Skilled CNC Machinist/Setup – 1st Shift, 2nd Shift and 3rd Shift

  • Perform basic daily maintenance on work centers
  • Commitment to keeping a neat and organized work area
  • Develop specifications from simple and complex blueprints, or hand sketch simple parts on paper
  • Adherence to all safety requirements including proper use of PPE
  • Willingness to work overtime to maintain customer requirements
  • Able to fit parts and hold tolerance to within .0005-.002”
  • Ability to create and build custom fixturing and work holding methods
  • Fanuc and Haas Control knowledge a plus
  • Ability to read and write G & M code and edit programs at the machine
  • Blue print reading skills
  • Able to setup and run concurrent jobs on multiple machines
  • Able to use standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, comparators

Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic

  • Repair CNC Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centers, Lathes and various other Machine Shop Equipment.
  • Follow Preventative Maintenance Program and strictly adhere to Preventative Maintenance Procedures. Follows appropriate Lock Out – Tag Out procedures
  • Excellent troubleshooting experience including electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC’s
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of equipment and equipment rooms
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance and corresponding reports daily
  • Complete assigned work orders
  • Resolve electrical problems
  • Other maintenance related duties assigned by the Plant Manager
  • Sound knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematic drawings and relative processes.
  • Ability to read, understand, draw, trouble shoot and repair systems and processes in a timely fashion using sophisticated test equipment, as necessary, related to these systems.
  • Ability to provide innovative approaches and designs to difficult problems.
  • Mechanical and electrical repair expertise
  • Mathematical aptitude with ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume as well as apply basic algebraic and geometry applications
  • Must be able to read and follow blueprints, drawings and schematics
  • Understanding of word processing, spreadsheets, email, knowledge of MS Word, Excel
  • Thorough knowledge and demonstration of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Understanding of State, Federal, Local OSHA Safety Regulations.

Customer Experience Sales Representative

Provide customers with an outstanding experience by professionally responding to their requirements effectively and in a timely manner. Follow company SOP’s and work instructions to ensure an acceptable accuracy level. Interface with other departments / engineers / outside salespeople / Area Functional Managers etc. to service all aspects, including, but not limited to: market analysis, technical assistance, pricing, lead times, job plans / set-ups, status updates, manufacturing capabilities, critical to quality features, shipping etc.

  • Process Requests for Quotations from Customers
  • Process PO’s from Customers
  • Process jobs for manufacturing
  • Provide Customers with status updates on jobs
  • Communicate (verbally & via e-mails) with customers
  • Analyze machining / material costs to determine profitability
  • Initiate and facilitate customer contact with the purpose of market analysis, quote/order solicitation, design assistance, and customer feedback.
  • Setup RFQ’s and forward to Estimator: complete and send quotes in a timely fashion.
  • Receive and enter incoming orders.
  • Coordinate Job Setups with CET Engineer: release and print jobs as required.
  • Track jobs in order to provide immediate feedback to customers, and to coordinate best production plan with other CET’s.
  • Work with other CET’s to develop best production plan with Area Functional Managers.
  • Assist in Engineering, Shop, and Support functions (i.e. Inspection, Shipping, etc.) as needed to expedite order shipment and gain understanding of manufacturing techniques and flow.
  • Close orders and analyze performance: OTD, Profitability, and Quality. Advise on adjustments as necessary.

 

  

Building Maintenance Custodian – 2nd Shift

  • General clean-up of the productive and non-productive areas of the Shop, including the production area washrooms and the shop common areas.
  • Change of dust bags an drums from dust collectors.
  • General clean-up of the MWI property.
  • General building and property maintenance.
  • Assistance in machining operations when available.
  • Preventive machine maintenance and corresponding reports daily.
  • Work and effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to comply with MWI, Inc. standards of operations.
  • Ability to adhere to the Core Values of the Company.
  • Coordinate Job Setups with CET Engineer: release and print jobs as required.

 

  

Manual Turning Lathe Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

  • Performs operations needed to manufacture components.
  • Performs basic daily maintenance on work centers.
  • Commitment to keeping a neat and organized work area.
  • Develop specifications from simple and complex blueprints, or hand sketch simple parts on paper.
  • Adherence to all safety requirements including proper use of PPE.
  • Willingness to work overtime to maintain customer requirements.
  • Able to fit parts and hold tolerance to within .001-.005″.
  • Takes responsibility and pride in doing work precisely and correctly.
  • Ability to monitor fixturing and work holding methods.
  • Able to set setup and run concurrent jobs on multiple machines.
  • Perform in-process inspections using standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height stand, etc.
  • Able to work with metric dimensions.
  • Shop math skills.
  • Self-motivated individual.
  • Fanuc and Haas Control knowledge a plus.
  • Blue print reading skills a must.

 

  

Manual/CNC Grinding- 1st Shift, 2nd Shift and 3rd Shift

  • 3-5 years machining (grinding) experience on conventional CNC equipment.
  • Advanced Blue print reading skills.
  • Experience dressing forms in grinding wheels. (Radii/Angles).
  • Ability to setup and run concurrent jobs on multiple machines.
  • Able to design and fixture parts as necessary to complete jobs.
  • Ability/Availability to work overtime to meet customer requirements.
  • Ability to use standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, comparators, CMM experience a plus.
  • Shop math skills (strong trigonometry).
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to allow proper communication between co-workers and management.
  • Ability to work to metric dimensions.
  • Experience with Lean and ISO systems.
  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment.
  • Setup and run various grinding jobs within given time requirement.
  • Perform inspection to ensure good quality.
  • Run production grinding work.
  • Work extra hours required to maintain customer delivery requirements.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance routines on grinding equipment.
  • Produce quality products that well represent MWI and you.

 

  

Saw Operator – 3rd Shift

  • Maximize output for any given task(s).
  • Setup and operate equipment in order to maximize the output and quality.
  • Learn to operate all models of Band Saws and become proficient in loading and unloading the machines.
  • Learn and implement safety and maintenance of all pieces of equipment.
  • Cut product within tolerance and squareness requirements.
  • Setup machines for production runs.
  • Safely run multiple pieces of equipment.
  • Work to reduce the overall material used by improving production methods and improving machine capabilities.
  • Work Safely; report any unsafe events.
  • Continually look for better ways of manufacturing.
  • Operate/Machine products as directed by Supervisor, Plant Managers, and/or paperwork.
  • Read job routers, prints, and other procedural documents.
  • Interpret English ad/or Metric blueprints and e able to convert from/to either./li>
  • Perform inspections using conventional inspection equipment.
  • Accurately record material and labor transactions.
  • Treat other manufacturing departments as customers.
  • Understand products; what they’re used for, what is important, etc.
  • Work with other employees to properly schedule job flow.
  • Work and effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Follow Company Policies.
  • Ability to comply with MWI,Inc. standards of operations.

Inspector/Quality Technician

  • Excellent use of standard measurement equipment (i.e. micrometers, verniers, etc.).
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills.
  • Experience and good skills on comparator.
  • Good math and trigonometry skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work closely with others.
  • Ability/Availability to work overtime and weekends when required by customer demands.
  • Experience and good skills with windows applications (i.e. MSWord, MSExcel, etc.).
  • Experience and good skills with SPC, ISO9002, and other quality standards/techniques.
  • Some knowledge of tool calibration standards and techniques.
  • Review proposals (i.e. prints) to insure a property quality plan is feasible with the given job.
  • Institute quality plan for WIP jobs.
  • Actively seek out WIP jobs and complete First-Off inspections and awareness of faulty machining procedures.
  • Familiarize yourself with shipment priorities and insure that these jobs are not delayed due to quality/inspection process.
  • Reduce scrap through accurate First-Off inspections and awareness of faulty machining procedures.
  • Complete and file all applicable Inspection/Quality paperwork.
  • Interface with customers for inspection techniques, quality issues, and reporting when necessary.
  • Program and operate CMM.
